BidVertiser tries to make it easy to track your ads in order to optimize your performance. In order to track the ads, you must have some analytics software operating on your site, something like Google Analytics. Some services such as Clickbank can also integrate with tracking parameters.
There are two options available, the Auto-Tag for Google Analytics, and the Manual Tag option which gives you the breakdown of the parameters.
The idea behind tagging your ads is so that you can track which traffic sources your clicks are coming from, which search terms are being used, if a conversion is achieved, and which ad was used. These can then allow you to identify poorly converting traffic sources, and blocking them (more on this in another article). It can also help you identify the best keywords for your campaigns.
Selecting the Auto-Tag option will open a new box of text as shown below:
Important: Please note that you need to click on the Apply Tags option at the bottom of this image, in order for the tags to be added to your target URL. Please test the URL to ensure that it works correctly with the tags added. Once done, click on Update.
This option shows the different parameters you can use for tracking your ads, again, please make sure any updated URL functions correctly.
